The Practice
Neuroception Psychology was built on a simple premise: people deserve honest, rigorous care, with validation and knowledge to perception and insight.

The Therapist
Life can seem like an ongoing adventure, where we are searching for results, pursuing goals, continually moving on to the next thing, or maybe we are at a halt with stagnation and a loss of direction. Wherever you are in life my approach comes along side your journey not to direct but assist in the guidance of navigating the path, and sharing knowledge.
I focus on the here and now and assist clients through psychodynamic techniques of learning insights about the self and clarifying past from present. I include a psychoeducation approach to my sessions alongside learning resources and skills through developing a deeper knowledge of the self. These insights assist clients in acknowledgment of Nervous System state changes, building toleration, and developing capacity to find direction when challenges arise. I work through a relational lens and honour the individual experience as no two people are alike.
I have been serving the mental health field for over 15 years. My educational journey began with a Diploma in Justice Studies, followed by a Bachelor of Professional Arts in Human Services and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I hold additional Certified trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II: Complex Trauma (CCTP-II), and clinical Trainings in Neurobiological effects of trauma and Somatic Integration and skills.
A few things to know about me
I love the outdoors — exploring new places, gardening, being near water, and simply having my feet in the dirt and face in the sun. I'll go from the front row of a good rock concert to a quiet yoga mat without missing a beat. I love cake, XL cozy hoodies, watching my kids play their sports, and taking our pup Frankie out for walks.

How We Work
Real healing asks for real honesty. I'll share what I genuinely think — always with care and compassion, but without softening it into something that no longer serves you.
Every pattern, every defence, every difficult behaviour makes sense when you understand where it came from. I approach your story with genuine curiosity — not judgment — because understanding how you got here is where the work begins.
Coping skills have their place, and we'll build them together. But I'm also interested in what's underneath — the deeper structures that keep generating the same pain. You deserve more than just getting by.
I bring the clinical knowledge and training. You bring the lived experience of your own life. Neither works without the other. You are not a diagnosis or a protocol — you are a person, and that shapes everything about how we work together.
"Neuroception is the body's way of deciding if you're safe — before you're even conscious of it. That's where the work starts."
Common Questions
Do you take insurance?
We don't direct-bill, but we provide receipts for extended health benefit claims. Most plans that cover registered psychologists will reimburse some or all of the session fee.
How long does therapy take?
It depends entirely on what you're working on. Some people do focused work over 3–6 months. Others engage in longer-term depth work. We'll be honest with you about what we think is realistic.
Do you work with couples or families?
Primarily individual adults. We may work with couples in select cases where the presenting concern fits our specialization.
What if I've had bad experiences with therapy before?
That's worth talking about — and it's more common than you'd think. We'd rather know what hasn't worked than repeat it.
Are sessions in person or online?
Both. In-person sessions are available at our office. Secure video sessions are available for clients who prefer remote access.
Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge that we are located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, which includes the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations as well as the Tsuut'ina Nation and the Stoney Nakoda Nations. We recognize the enduring presence and contributions of the Indigenous People to this land. In our practice we express deep gratitude for the natural environment that surrounds us — the rivers, mountains, forests and earth. We honor the wisdom of the Indigenous cultures that teach us to respect the land and fostering a connection that supports our health and promotes healing for all.
